Edited from script and footage with writer director Rob Williams [Guest House Films] the final cut of this independent feature.
As with all features, I began the process with sorting and labeling of scenes shot, noting fluidity of
movement and nuances that will later be incorporated into the film.After creating the first assembly of the film we reviewed and began experimenting with revisions. Basics compositing is a nice way to both fix a preferred shot that may be lacking for some technical reason or tighten up dialog without having to make an unmotivated cut.
We then comprehensively reviewed the details of each and every cut to strengthen the rhythms and structures identified in the first cut, resulting in the final cut to which sound effects and music were added.

This short film was shot on 16mm and then telecine transferred for editing. After the edit and post-production process, a cut list for the film was prepared for the assembly of a print for standard 35mm film projection.

Edited 23 minute pilot working beside director Justin Memovich. [Sound and color correction were not executed by me.] Built split screens and multi-panel graphics and added cameraman viewfinder POV effects for all ‘reality show’ scenes. In addition to standard editing, created several FX
remedies. For example, sun began to rise during an outdoor night scene causing blue tint in background. Keyed out light sky to recreate night sky. Composited performance of one actor so his reactions were motivational to his scene partner’s, in the same shot.

creating visual effects to ensure consistency across the work of several stock photographers, and titling with song lyrics. In this lyric music video - composer, music director, and vocalist Todd Schroeder drives along the Pacific coast after a performance to clear his head, and composes a song while experiencing flash-forward daydreams about the lessons in life that children may experience as they grow into adulthood.
